about

As cherished as many '80s thrash bands remain today with fans old enough to have donned denim patch jackets at early Exodus and Metallica shows, they have become just as popular amongst a younger generation of metal-starved kids who weren't even born then. Both mainstream and obscure bands are being sought and treasured by a new legion of fans able to utilize the Internet and their parents' vinyl collection to unearth the originators of aggressive speed metal. The combination of many old-school bands reuniting (Anthrax, Testament, Destruction & Possessed), playing live to tens of thousands at metal's many summer festivals and young, in vogue bands like Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, Trivium, and Bullet For My Valentine name-checking the legends and sporting their influences has produced a whole new scene that has been bubbling under for quite some time.

Los Angeles is leading the charge and for the past year local shows have been pulling average audiences of 500 kids. That's right, teenage kids decked out in denim, leather, bullet-belts, tight jeans and white high tops. WARBRINGER is one of the leaders of this revival, and with their demo EP, “One by One the Wicked Fall”, they have not only played numerous shows in LA but traveled throughout the entire southwest, hitting spots like Phoenix, Las Vegas and Mexico with bands as diverse as Suffocation, Daath, Exodus and Prong.

The demo's rawness and energy was compared to Metallica's “Kill 'Em All” by BW&BK magazine, tracks have received considerable play on metal radio and they're all over MySpace. They were a featured act on both the “Speed Kills...Again” compilation and “Metal for the Masses”. Without question, an organic buzz has developed around the band, and WARBRINGER is ready to kick open the door with the release of their phenomenal debut album, ”War Without End”, recorded, mixed and mastered by legendary thrash producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Dark Angel, D.R.I.). Members range in age from 17-22, reinforcing the notion that thrash is best coming from the young, hungry and inspired.

This special edition now includes rarities such as ‘Nightslasher’, ‘Onslaught’ and ‘Humans To Kill’ as well as the instrumental ‘Epicus Maximus’ (at times titled ‘A Dead Current’), which was a 3 minutes long hidden track on the original release, but now appears with its correct title and without one minute of silence added, and their take on the Unleashed classic "Execute Them All" Produced by Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Flotsam & Jetsam…) and mastered in 2018 by Patrick W. Engel (Exodus, Agent Steel, Exumer).
