mourner For me The Wake is one of the best albums from Voivod ever, what makes this very special and dear to me. While they never sounded bored or repetetive The Wake is so full of energy and spirit that you'd think it's a release by a new and hungry band. The live footage seems to support that thesis. Voivod are one of my favorite bands of all time and I'm addicted to their music again. Favorite track: The End Of Dormancy.

The only predictable thing about Canadian cosmic-metal warriors Voivod is that they will forever be unpredictable. On the warpath for more than 35 years, Voivod have pushed their sound relentlessly forward, constructing imaginative musical realms with each endeavor.
