The first "official" studio album from Seattle-based Nevermore was a statement. Released during a time when the words "heavy metal" were definitely not in vogue, the band defiantly marched forth and created their complex structures of progressive power metal, wrapped around Warrel Dane's dark and cynical lyrics. This 1996 release was just the beginning for the band, and would see them begin to tour in earnest, building their reputation and honing their already-formidable musical chops. This edition contains their cover of the Judas Priest gem "Love Bites", which the band recorded for an officially sanctioned tribute album.
