Take two parts black metal, a dose of late-eighties thrash metal, the spirit of Coltrane-inspired free jazz, a dash of pop sensibility, a hint of twentieth century classical music and some hallucinogenics - that's Sigh, an extraordinary trio hell-bent on introducing the world to their bizarre brand of extreme music.

Since their inception in April of 1989, Sigh have released a slew of demos, EP's, 7"'s and contributions to various compilations to compliment their four full-length efforts.

This record will challenge listeners and serve as a refreshing dose of originality, something that has been sorely missing in the black metal world for years. Song structures are corrupted, sounds are manipulated, pre-conceptions will be shattered!

This special edition contains one extended version, two unreleased tracks from the "Imaginary Sonicscape" recording sessions, and the two-song "Imaginary Sonicscape" demo.

Je vais sortir le vocabulaire qui fait peur aux puristes : Gallows Gallery est un album court (jerniquenne !), avec du chant clair, des polyphonies, des "ooh ooh ooh !" et "aah aah aah !" de circonstance (ventrequenne !), qui puise dans le hard rock ou le metal gothique (morquenne !) ; bref, le plus accessible pour les néophytes (foutreciel !). MAIS QUELLE ÉNERGIE PHÉNOMÉNALE ! De toutes façons, il faut être le dernier des trve du kvlt pour s'obstiner à rester puriste quand on écoute Sigh... Jordan Vauvert
