“This was supposed to be something totally different. We made a united decision to let Century Media re-release our albums to make them available again for you, our fans. We were all excited and new plans were made for the future of GATES OF ISHTAR, including an exclusive live performance at Party-San festival. We all were looking forward to play together again and meet the fans who have kept our music alive in their hearts for all these years. Then Oscar died and in the aftermath of the tragedy these re-releases found a greater purpose. It will be a legacy of Oscar's musicianship and a support for Charlie, his son. GATES OF ISHTAR from northern Sweden were one of the most influential melodic death/black metal bands of their times. Within a time frame of only three years GATES OF ISHTAR released three studio albums, all of which are justly considered classic releases of the genre: The debut album “A Bloodred Path” with its wild and fast Maiden-like melodies and an ice-cold atmosphere, the second album “The Dawn Of Flames” which showed a more epic side of GATES OF ISHTAR by still keeping high the level of ferocity and aggression, and the opus magnum “At Dusk And Forever”, the band’s swan song album, entwining the different influences from death, black and heavy metal to perfection.

Now “At Dusk And Forever” is finally available again, with remastered sound and new cover artwork.

No doubt, “At Dusk And Forever” is an essential, compulsory album for everyone into melodic black/death metal the northernmost way.
